Bishwanath, 11 July (HS): Congress has started reviewing the preparations at the district level for the upcoming Assam visit of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and party president Mallikarjun Kharge. In this regard, former Assam Pradesh Congress President Bhupen Bora held a meeting at the District Congress Office 'Rajiv Bhawan' located at Bishwanath Chariali on Friday.

During this, Bhupen Bora, while talking to journalists, highlighted the importance of Rahul Gandhi's visit. Along with this, he also reacted strongly to the anti encroachment drive in Bilasipara, harassment of journalists and the controversial statement of the All India Minority Students Union (ABMSU) leader regarding the Assamese language.

This activism of the Congress is being seen as a strategy to make the visit of the party high command a success.
