Narayanpur/Raipur, July 11 (HS): Narayanpur witnessed 22 reward-seeking Naxalites surrender to ITBP and BSF officials on Friday, including 14 males and 8 females, with a combined reward of ₹37.5 lakh. Most were from the Kutul Area Committee, primarily active in Abujhmad, with 20 names disclosed by police.

SP Robinson Gudiya announced the surrender of prominent Naxalites, specifically Sukhlal Kunjam, the secretary of the Kutul Area Committee, and his wife, Hidme Kunjam. Sukhlal had a reward of ₹8 lakh and had been active for 14 years, involved in numerous incidents, including a grenade attack on the Irkabhatty camp. Hidme, with a reward of ₹5 lakh, was part of the ACM supply team in the Maad Division.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai highlighted on 'X' that 1,476 Maoists have surrendered, expressing a desire for development over conflict among the people.

Narayanpur SP Robinson Gudiya announced that all surrendered Naxalites receive ₹50,000 in financial aid and benefits under the Naxal Rehabilitation Policy. They cited police camps and development projects in Abujhmad as weakening the organization, with rehabilitation programs encouraging mainstream integration.
