10 July (HS): A lady and her boyfriend reportedly killed her husband by slicing

his neck and put his headless body in a sewer in Kanchankheda hamlet here,

prompting the arrest of the couple, police said on Thursday. Sheeba (24) and

Farman, alias Chunna (26) were detained on Wednesday. During interrogation,

both suspects admitted to killing Imran (28) in collaboration with Farman's

companion Rafiq Qureshi, according to authorities. On Monday, police got

information about blood stains near a drain culvert in the hamlet and launched

an investigation, which resulted in the discovery of a beheaded body from the

drain.

case was opened, and the corpse was eventually identified as that of Imran, a

resident of Akhlaq Nagar in the Gangaghat police station area. The corpse was recognized using the mobile

phone and paperwork discovered in the pockets.

Officer (CO) Bighapur Rishikant Shukla stated that Sheeba and Farman had been

in a relationship for a long time, and recurrent disagreements with the spouse

pushed them to arrange the murder. The accused reportedly inebriated Imran

before slicing his neck with a knife, according to the police, who also stated

that attempts were on to apprehend the third accused, who is now at large.
