Mumbai, 10 July (HS): A high-level committee will be

constituted to enquire about health facilities and administration at the

Kasturba Sevagram Medical College and Hospital, run by the Wardha District

Kasturba Health Society. The committee will be constituted after discussion

with the local people’s representatives, said Minister for Medical Education

Hasan Mushrif in the Legislative Assembly on Thursday.

Mushrif was replying to a question raised by Rajesh

Bakane. Lack of equipment, inadequate number of doctors, non-availability of basic

facilities, and negligent approach by the administrations were alleged by

Bakane. The hospital gets 50 per cent grants from the Centre and 25 per cent

from the State Government.

Mushir assured to form an enquiry committee

following discussion with the local representatives.
