Mathura, 8 June (HS): Police in
Mathura are examining meat discovered on Barsana Road. Local folks suspect the cow flesh, which is
currently undergoing forensic investigation. CCTV footage reveals important clues.
The Uttar Pradesh Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act has resulted in the registration
of multiple FIRs. In Mathura district, a vacant plot on Barsana Road sparked
outrage among locals after bits of beef were discovered among plants outside a
nearby gym. The discovery has spurred a
police inquiry, with locals claiming the meat was from a cow. Samples have been transferred to a forensic
laboratory for comprehensive inspection, said Senior Superintendent of Police
(SSP) Shlok Kumar on Sunday. The meat
was discovered in Govardhan on Saturday night, and investigators have since
gathered crucial information from surrounding CCTV footage.
