Poonch, 7 June (H.S.): NGO ‘The Sara’ through project CARE (Crisis Aid, Relief and Empowerment) helped the cross border shelling hit families of Poonch district.

Led by Raminder Jit Singh and Manpreet Kour, ‘The Sara’ team distributed ration kits containing essential food items at Qazi Mohra, Poonch to 120 underprivileged families of Ward number 1 and Ward number 3 and in village Gundi, Poonch.

In addition, the NGO distributed water tanks to the shelling hit underprivileged families in village Gundi and shelling hit places of worship like Geeta Bhawan, Bagichi Mandir, Gurdwara Singh Sabha and Jamia Anwar-ul-Uloom located in Poonch.

During the programme, Kamal Singh from SCHH and Ajaz Siddiqui from Saviours Blood JK and their volunteers were also present and they provided the much needed ground support to the team of ‘The Sara’.
