West Bengal, 7 June (H.S.): A teenage girl's dead body was found hanging from a noose in her house in Amta in Howrah district. The police of Amta police station took the body into their custody and sent it for post-mortem.

The father of the deceased girl claimed that her aunt had died a few days ago. Since then, this 10th class student had come in contact with her uncle. They started talking over the phone and meeting each other. Then his daughter told him that she wanted to marry her uncle. There was unrest in the family regarding this.

The family claimed that on Friday, the student's parents, brother and uncle had gone to her house. On Saturday morning, Amta police recovered the body of the 10th class student hanging in the house. The police have seized the mobile phone used by the deceased. The police of Amta police station has initiated an investigation into the matter.
