Chandauli, 7 June (HS): Tension

rose after a group of people protested the vandalism of a youth's car as he was

going to offer 'namaaz' at an Eidgah on Sakaldiha Road on Saturday morning,

according to police. Sanjay Kumar Singh, the SHO of Chandauli police station,

arrived at the scene and calmed the crowd, who had gathered on their way home

from Eidgah and demanded the accused's immediate arrest. According to the

Station House Officer (SHO), an inquiry found that three people shattered the

car's window. The police have identified

them, and they will be detained shortly, he added. Officials have also deployed

a police force in the region as a precaution. Singh described the event,

stating that the Eidgah is located on Sakaldiha Rd. Around 9 a.m. on Saturday, 21-year-old Asif

Ali, a resident of Bichhiya village, arrived in a vehicle with his family to offer

'namaaz'.

He parked his vehicle near a bank. When

he returned after presenting 'namaaz', he saw his car's glass damaged. He asked the policemen stationed close about

it, but no one had any information. He then began to cause a scene. When other

''namaazi'' exited the Eidgah and learned of the event, they grew enraged and

demanded the immediate arrest of all those involved, according to a police

officer.
