Dehradun, 7 June (H.S.): A helicopter from Sirsi to Kedarnath crash-landed on a road on Saturday due to a likely technical fault. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, and all passengers were unharmed. The helicopter, operated by Crystal Aviation Private Limited, damaged a car during the landing. Preliminary reports indicate that the pilot, recognizing the midair fault, executed an emergency landing without injuries to the passengers.

The total number of passengers remains unconfirmed. Previously, on May 8, a helicopter crash in Gangnani, Uttarkashi, resulted in six fatalities, including three women from Mumbai, with the pilot also losing his life. This helicopter was operated by Aerotrans Services Private Limited.

On May 17, an AIIMS Rishikesh heli ambulance crash-landed near a Kedarnath helipad due to rear damage, but all passengers were reported safe, with officials praising the pilot's quick thinking for avoiding a major accident. During the emergency landing, the Sanjeevani heli ambulance sustained damage to its rear part.
