Delhi, 7 June (H.S.): Union Home Minister Amit Shah convened a high-level meeting in Delhi with senior police officials involved in the anti-Naxal operation amid its intensifying efforts in Chhattisgarh.

Shah reaffirmed the Modi government's commitment to eliminating Naxalism in India. The meeting included Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Deputy CM Vijay Sharma, and Home Ministry officials.

Post-meeting, Shah expressed gratitude on X, acknowledging the officers' roles in successful anti-Naxal operations. He plans to visit Chhattisgarh soon to meet the security personnel involved. Recently, Chhattisgarh Police and CRPF conducted a three-week operation in the Karregutta hills, notably resulting in the deaths of 31 Naxalites, including General Secretary Basavaraju. A continued crackdown in Bijapur led to two additional top Naxal fatalities, showcasing the ongoing efforts against the insurgency.
