Shahjahanpur, 7 June (HS): Two
women were murdered in different police station areas of the district. Senior police
officials have instructed the police station heads to inspect the crime scene
and take strict action. In village Gunara of Jalalabad police station area,
Ajay Kumar murdered his wife Preeti (20) by slitting her throat with a sharp
weapon due to a domestic dispute late on Friday night and fled. Preeti's
blood-soaked body was found lying on a cot inside a room on the first floor of
the house.
The villagers informed the police about the incident. Additional
Superintendent of Police (Rural) Bhanware Diksha Arun, Circle Officer
Jalalabad, reached the village with the local police. The crime scene was
inspected. On the other hand, widow Kiran Devi (35) was murdered by hitting a
brick on the head in village Bhanpur Nibua Chak of Banda police station area at
around 11 pm late at night. The accused is Home Guard Pushpendra, a resident of
the neighboring village Padariya Dalelpur. There was a quarrel between the two
people first, after which the accused dragged the woman from the house to the
road and then killed her by hitting her with a brick lying there. The accused
absconded after the incident. There is a buzz in the village that there was a
love affair between the two. Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi reached
the village on Saturday morning and inspected the crime scene and gathered
information. Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Bhanware Diksha Arun
said that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem. The police is trying to
arrest the accused.
