Rajouri, 7 June (H.S.): A tragic road accident in the Sunderbani area of district Rajouri today left two persons dead and one seriously injured.

The incident involved three persons from Thannamandi, identified as Zahir Iqbal, son of Yaar Mohammad, aged 35 years; Paris Mirza, son of Shahwer Mirza, aged 35 years; and Shahwal Mirza, son of Shahwer Mirza, aged 30 years.

All the three injured were initially brought to the local health facility at Sunderbani, where they were given first aid. As per Dr Meena Kumari, Block Medical Officer, Sunderbani, the patients were in critical condition and were immediately referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for specialized treatment.

Unfortunately, while being shifted to GMC Jammu, two of the injured — Zahir Iqbal and Paris Mirza — succumbed to their injuries on the way. The third injured person, Shahwal Mirza, is currently undergoing treatment at GMC Jammu, where his condition is stated to be stable.
