Goalpara (Assam), 5 June (HS): Three real sisters killed after drowning in a water-filled pit in Krishnai area of Goalpara district. Police said on Thursday that while going to catch fish in Balla area of Krishnai in the district, three sisters fell into a pit dug between the fields.

All three sisters killed by drowning due to falling into a pit filled with water. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and with the help of local people, took out the bodies of the three sisters drowned in the water-filled pit and sent them to the hospital for post-mortem.

The deceased have been identified as Savita Begum (12), Sarjina Begum (7) and Azmina Begum (12). After this accident, there was mourning in the entire area. At the same time, the local people have demanded strict action against the person who dug the pit in the middle of the field and left it.
