Ayodhya,
5 June (HS): On Thursday, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presided over the
consecration of 'Raja Ram', Lord Rama in his regal form, as well as the
placement of idols in eight newly built temples within the Ram Janmabhoomi
complex. The event was the temple's second major consecration ceremony, after
that of Ram Lalla on January 22, 2024, in the presence of Prime Minister Modi. The
event took place during the 'Abhijit Muhurat', which is considered one of the
most auspicious times in the Hindu calendar.
The
deity consecration began at 6:30 a.m. with prayers at the 'yajna mandap',
followed by an hour-long 'havan' at 9 a.m.
Following that, centralized rites began at the same time in all temple
shrines, helped by visual technologies such as cameras and huge screens to
ensure ceremony synchrony.
Shri
Ram Darbar (central installation), Sheshavatar, Lord Shiva in the northeast
(Ishan) corner, Lord Ganesha in the southeast (Agni) corner, Lord Hanuman in
the southern wing, Surya (Sun God) in the southwest (Nairitya) corner, Goddess
Bhagwati in the northwest (Vayavya) corner, and Goddess Annapurna in the
northern wing were among the deities consecrated, according to the Shri Ram
Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
Adityanath
performed prayers at the Ram Temple, paid obeisance at the 'Ram Darbar' on the
first floor, then went to the adjoining Hanumangarhi temple.
“Today,
at Lord Shri Ram's sacred birthplace, Ayodhya Dham, we have the wonderful
privilege of seeing a programme organized for the Pran-Pratishtha of the holy
idols of gods in the eight temples, including Shri Ram Darbar on the first
floor of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple,” he posted on X. He said, This
auspicious occasion is a new expression of 'Ek Bharat-Shreshtha
Bharat'. Victory for Siyavar Shri
Ramachandra!
The
BJP, which is in control at the Centre and in Uttar Pradesh, went to X and said
that the second Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha celebration completed today in
Ayodhya. Proceed towards Ram Rajya.
Anil
Mishra, trustee of the Ram Temple, stated that rites were held in accordance
with Vedic traditions, with the involvement of erudite Brahmins from throughout
the country. The day of Ganga Dussehra will mark a new beginning. It will be the moment when the results of
centuries of penance, suffering, and faith become tangible, he remarked.
Ahead
of the event held on the occasion of Ganga Dusshera, Mahant Raghuvar Sharan,
the main priest of Rasik Niwas Temple in Ayodhya, remarked, This year's Ganga
Dussehra will be both spiritual and historic, as Lord Ram, also known as
'Rajarama', will be ceremonially erected on the first level of Ayodhya's
majestic Ram Temple after a 500-year battle.
Explaining
the importance of the occasion, Ayodhya-based astrologer Pandit Kalki Ram
stated that every fortunate deed committed on Ganga Dussehra offers several
benefits. Perhaps this is why the Ram
Temple Trust picked this day to consecrate Rajaram. Pilgrims went to the temple
complex to commemorate what many characterized as a watershed moment in the
city's and country's spiritual history. The temple's opening in January 2024
marked the end of a decades-long struggle, mostly under the Hindutva banner, to
recapture a disputed holy site in Ayodhya.
