As speculation swirls around the reported wedding of Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra and former Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MP Pinaki Mishra, TMC leader and actress-turned-politician Sayoni Ghosh on Thursday extended her congratulations to the couple on social media.

Sharing a photo on X (formerly Twitter) that featured herself alongside Mahua Moitra, Pinaki Mishra, and fellow TMC MP June Malia, Sayoni wrote, “Congratulations MM & PM... Mahua Moitra and Pinaki Mishra. Wishing you both a lifetime of love and laughter.”

Despite the growing buzz, there has been no official confirmation from either Mahua Moitra or Pinaki Mishra regarding the wedding. Attempts by journalists to contact them via phone calls and messages have so far gone unanswered.

According to sources within the Trinamool Congress, 51-year-old Mahua Moitra and 65-year-old Pinaki Mishra tied the knot in a private ceremony in Berlin, Germany. Several photos circulating online show the duo together, further fueling the speculation.

Mahua Moitra, a two-time MP from Krishnanagar in West Bengal, first entered the Lok Sabha in 2019. A former investment banker, she began her political journey with the Indian Youth Congress before joining the Trinamool Congress in 2010. She recently secured re-election in 2024 by defeating BJP’s Amrita Roy.

Pinaki Mishra, a senior BJD leader, has represented the Puri Lok Sabha constituency in Odisha multiple times. He is known for his long-standing political experience and legal background.

As the social media post garners attention, the political and media circles continue to await an official statement from the couple.
