Guwahati, 5 June (HS): To ensure peaceful and fair conduct of the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination, 2024 being conducted by the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) on June 8, the Guwahati Police Commissionerate has issued prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code, 2023.
According to this order, entry of general public will be prohibited within 100 meters of 24 examination centers located under the Guwahati Police Commissionerate jurisdiction on the day of examination. This order will be effective for both the sessions of the examination - from 10 am to 12 noon and from 2 pm to 4 pm.
The order issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Administration) Imdad Ali said that a total of 18,024 candidates are appearing in the examination and on past occasions, some anti-social elements had used unfair means through mobile applications such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, YouTube etc. Apart from this, attempts were also seen by outsiders to interfere in the fairness of the examination.
