Bhubaneswar, 5 June (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to attend the first anniversary celebration of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government in Odisha, confirmed Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra on Thursday.
Speaking to the media, Minister Patra said the anniversary will be marked by a series of public outreach programmes across the state. “All ministers have been assigned specific districts where they will engage directly with citizens. Events will be organised at both district and panchayat levels to showcase the government’s achievements,” he stated.
He added that the ministers will visit households and interact with people at the grassroots level, sharing a detailed report on the government’s performance over the past year. “The idea is to present a clear comparison between the promises made and the progress achieved under the BJP government,” Patra explained.
The announcement comes following Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s recent visit to New Delhi, where he formally invited Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to the event. The visit reaffirmed the central leadership’s support for the Odisha government’s initiatives.
