West Burdwan, 5 June (H.S.): The blood-soaked body of a youth was recovered late Wednesday night on the side of Sitarampur-Ithora road in Kulti police station area of West Burdwan district. On information, the police went to the spot and recovered the body. The body was sent for post-mortem on Thursday.

According to police sources, the deceased has been identified as Dev Singh, a resident of Nigha area of Jamuria. The police have also recovered a motorcycle from the spot, which is said to be of the deceased youth.

Initially, the police believe that Dev Singh was returning home after finishing work from the office of a land dealer near National Highway 19. At that time someone attacked him. The police is also not ruling out the possibility of an accident.
