5 June (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath planted trees on (June 5) World
Environment Day-2025, which also coincides with his birthday. The Chief
Minister planted a Bilva (creeper) tree at his official residence on Thursday
morning. During this auspicious occasion to mark his birthday, the Chief
Minister emphasized on rthe need to ensure no-holds-barred environmental protection.
Minister of State for Forests (Independent Charge) Dr. Arun Kumar Saxena,
Minister of State for Forests KP Malik wished the Chief Minister on his
birthday and presented him a memento.
During
this, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary
(Forest/Environment) Anil Kumar, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests/Head of
Department Sunil Kumar Chaudhary, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests
(Wildlife) Anuradha Vemuri, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests

Be
committed to environmental protection: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wished
everyone on World Environment Day. He wrote on his official account 'X', “Mother
Earth: Putraham Prithviya. Heartiest wishes to all of you on World Environment
Day! Come; let us be committed to environmental protection on the auspicious
occasion of World Environment Day.” On Ganga Dussehra and World Environment Day,
he complimented PM Modi's Namami Gange programme. On the occasion, he wished
the people of Uttar Pradesh happy Ganga Dussehra and World Environment
Day. Speaking about Ganga Dussehra,
Chief Minister Yogi stated, Today is a very fortunate and sacred day... On this day, not just Sanatan Dharma
devotees, but all Indians, found redemption...
On this auspicious day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented the
Namami Gange Programme to the country.
We sincerely thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this.”
Addressing
the issues of climate change and the state's environmental initiatives, he
stated that the globe is experiencing difficulties. “These are man-made issues,
and they must be addressed. That is why
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged folks to establish coordination and a
connection with nature. He titled it EK
Ped Maa Ke Naam.” He went on to say that
if the monsoon arrives by June 23, which is also Dr Shyamaprasad Mukherjee's
'Balidan Diwas', there would be a large tree planting celebration. People of
the state will commemorate Van Mahotsav from July 1 to 7. CM Yogi
highlighted the tree planting ambitions, saying, This year, our goal is
to plant more than 35 crore trees. This (tree planting) will continue until
August 15. In the previous eight years, 210 crore trees have been planted, with
75-80% remaining living. I wish the
state's inhabitants a happy Ganga Dussehra and World Environment Day.
