Shahjahanpur,

5 June (HS): On Thursday in Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur district, two brothers

died from electrocution after coming into touch with a wire fence constructed to

protect their field from stray animals, according to authorities. Superintendent

of Police Rajesh Dwivedi said the incident occurred in Bamrauli village, which

is within the jurisdiction of Kant police station. According to authorities,

Dharmaveer Singh (35) put up a wire fence around his agricultural area to keep

stray livestock away from the crops. The

fence was electrified at night to provide additional security.

On

Thursday morning, when Dharmaveer walked to his field, he accidently touched

the live wire and became caught in the fence.

His younger brother, Satyaveer Singh (30), ran to aid him but was

electrocuted in the process. Both were rushed to the hospital in critical

condition, and physicians confirmed them dead, according to the police. Police

said the remains had been taken for a postmortem.
