Shahjahanpur,
5 June (HS): On Thursday in Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur district, two brothers
died from electrocution after coming into touch with a wire fence constructed to
protect their field from stray animals, according to authorities. Superintendent
of Police Rajesh Dwivedi said the incident occurred in Bamrauli village, which
is within the jurisdiction of Kant police station. According to authorities,
Dharmaveer Singh (35) put up a wire fence around his agricultural area to keep
stray livestock away from the crops. The
fence was electrified at night to provide additional security.
On
Thursday morning, when Dharmaveer walked to his field, he accidently touched
the live wire and became caught in the fence.
His younger brother, Satyaveer Singh (30), ran to aid him but was
electrocuted in the process. Both were rushed to the hospital in critical
condition, and physicians confirmed them dead, according to the police. Police
said the remains had been taken for a postmortem.
