Dhaka, June 4 (HS): A truck filled with over 200 cooking gas cylinders overturned this morning on the Cumilla-Sylhet highway near the Brahmanbaria bypass in Birshar, Bangladesh. After the truck overturned, it caught fire, leading to multiple explosions. The fire is still raging in the truck, and cylinders continue to burst intermittently, causing panic in the area.

According to a report by The Daily Star, the incident occurred around 4:30 AM. Since then, explosion sounds have been heard around the site. The fire is spreading rapidly. Mohammad Mujafar Hussain from the Brahmanbaria Sadar Model Police Station reported that with each explosion, cylinders are being propelled upward. Police said the truck overturned due to poor road conditions. So far, there have been no reports of casualties. Relevant authorities have been informed.
