Chennai, 4 June (H.S.) : Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin held a crucial meeting to discuss the progress of the Parandur Greenfield Airport project. The meeting focused on key aspects such as land acquisition and planning for the project's subsequent phases. The airport, expected to be a major infrastructure development in the state, aims to serve as a supplementary facility to the existing Chennai International Airport.

The project is estimated to cost ₹27,000 crore and is designed to handle up to 100 million passengers annually upon full completion. The first phase is scheduled to be completed by 2028 and will have the capacity to handle 20 million passengers per year. The Chief Minister's review meeting underscores the government's commitment to moving the project forward.

The meeting was attended by senior government officials and ministers, who discussed the project's progress and challenges.
