Gaza Strip, June 4(HS): The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), backed by the US, has halted humanitarian aid distribution in Gaza, raising fears of a worsening food crisis. GHF announced the closure of all distribution centers today due to persistent gunfire in the area. The organization has called for enhanced security from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) at these sites. Despite GHF's announcement that distribution centers will not operate on Wednesday, the IDF plans to establish a safe access route for resuming operations on Thursday. GHF reported that Palestinians trying to access food supplies have faced targeting, while the IDF warned of temporary travel restrictions to aid sites declared war zones.
