Bhubaneswar, 4 June (H.S.): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will distribute appointment letters to 826 Post Graduate Trained (PGT) teachers at a special event scheduled for June 6, School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond announced on Wednesday.

The initiative is part of the state government’s continued efforts to address vacancies in the education sector. “Soon after the new government took charge, nearly 16,000 junior teachers were appointed. This was followed by the issuance of appointment letters to another 2,000 candidates,” said Minister Gond, highlighting the state’s commitment to strengthening the teaching workforce.

He further assured that the recruitment drive is not limited to appointments alone but also includes responsive measures to address any procedural or administrative issues faced by candidates. “The government is closely monitoring the entire recruitment process and is prepared to take corrective steps wherever necessary,” Gond added.
