Nagpur, 03 June (HS): The driver of a car died on the

spot as his car rammed into a truck from behind on the Samruddhi Mahamarg near Dongaon

in Nagpur Corridor of the express highway. The accident occurred around midnight, separating Monday and Tuesday. The deceased driver has been identified as

Bhushan Baliram Magar, a resident of Manka in Washim district.

Preliminary investigation suggests that the driver

lost control over the car, probably due to the influence of sleep. The car was returning

to Washim from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The impact was so heavy that the car

turned into a heap of metal.

The highway traffic management has been emphasising

the need for control over speed by the drivers and adequate rest for the

drivers.
