North 24 Parganas, 3 June (H.S.): The police on Tuesday recovered huge arms and ammunition from the house of Trinamool worker Naim Ali alias Nepali, a close aide of Biswanath Dey, TMC councillor of ward number six of Panihati municipality in North 24 Parganas district. As per information, stun guns, pipe guns and nitro-ammunition cartridges used by the army in war were recovered from the possession of the accused. Several explosives and foreign guns have also been seized.
Former Barrackpore MP Arjun Singh said, This whole place has been handed over to criminals. You cannot even keep a brick in the house there without the permission of Trinamool criminals. On the other hand, Trinamool leader Arup Chakraborty refused to accept Nepali as a party worker. He said, That man is not even a Trinamool worker. If you interrogate him, you will come to know that he is Arjun Singh's man.
