Amravati, 03 June (HS): Sudhakar Namdev Raut, a

resident of Sukalwada in Chandur Railway tehsil, was robbed of Rs 10 lakh near

Achalpur. The robbers also beat him when he tried to confront them.

Raut was called to Paratwada by a broker for the purchase of an Ertiga car. Raut was travelling with Rs 10 lakh cash to

Paratwada, and was waiting at the designated place, when three to four people

came in a car and started beating him. They fled with the cash in his

possession. They also took the agent with them.

Following a complaint lodged by Raut, Paratwada

Police started verifying the CCTV footage and are investigating.

PI Suresh Mhaske said that frauds in vehicle sales

and purchases are increasing, and appealed to the people to be alert.
