Amravati, 03 June (HS): Three individuals were

arrested by the Frezarpura Police in Amravati for stealing batteries from

MSRTC’s godown. Police recovered six batteries and other materials worth Rs

77,800 from them. The three have been identified as Rupesh Satan Pawar (20),

Laklhan Basan Pawar (19), and Nayan alias Aahen Mailesh Chouhan (21), all

residents of Pardhi Beda.

Godown Keepar Nitin Shankarrao Jog (53) noticed six out of 136 batteries

missing during a regular checking of the stock. The stolen batteries were

non-functional. He lodged a complaint with the police on May 26. Based on the

CCTV footage, police identified the three youths involved in the theft, and

arrested them. Further investigation is in progress.
