03 June (HS): Azim, the accused who fired on the police team yesterday during

checking near Nachna ki Puliya on Mangawala road in Bhagatpur police station

area, was arrested on Tuesday. The policemen had a narrow escape in this

attack. Illegal pistol and cartridges were recovered from the arrested accused.

Ravindra Pratap Singh of Bhagatpur police station said that on Monday

afternoon, sub-inspector Brajkishore posted in the police station was checking

with the police team near Nachana culvert on village Mangawala road. During

this time, three people were seen coming on a bike, so the police team signaled

them to stop. During this time, a young man sitting behind on the bike fired at

the police team with a pistol. After this, all three fled from the spot. Today,

the police arrested Azim, a resident of Daulpuri Bamniya village of Bhagatpur

police station area, accused of firing, along with a pistol and cartridges. Two

other accused fled from the spot, who are being searched.
