New Delhi, June 3(HS): West Indies will face England in three T20Is after their ODI series at The Oval on Tuesday, before heading back to Ireland for another three T20Is. Several players and coaching staff, including Russell, will be rested for the Ireland series. Holder last played T20Is in February 2024, missing the World Cup due to injury, while Russell's last appearance was in November against England, where he injured his ankle. This series marks the West Indies' debut under Shai Hope as T20I captain, replacing Rovman Powell, who led the team to a 3-0 defeat against Bangladesh. Powell remains in the squad, but allrounders Greaves, Springer, and Hinds are omitted.
Sherfane Rutherford returns after missing the Bangladesh series. Keacy Carty replaces Brandon King for the Ireland T20Is, and new Test captain Roston Chase will depart post-England series for the Caribbean before Australia's tour. Jyd Goolie, a former U19 player, receives his first call-up in Chase's place. A Test training camp in Barbados is scheduled from June 13-21 ahead of the first Test against Australia starting June 25.
