03 June (HS): Information Technology and Electronics Minister Sunil Kumar
Sharma said on Tuesday that an IT City will be built on 2,858 acres between
Sultanpur National Highway and Kisan Path in Lucknow. The IT City will be
developed in such a way that maximum investment comes in. Minister Sunil Sharma
further said that under the scheme, a central park and golf course will also be
built on 188 acres. Green belt land is being marked for this. More than two
lakh people will get residential facilities here. About 445 acres have been
taken for industrial area and commercial activities. Employment opportunities
will increase from the industrial area.
He
said that the work on the IT City being built in Lucknow has started on the
ground, and there is a plan to complete the work in the next few months. The
last date for this is Diwali 2025. Nevertheless, emphasis will be laid on
completing the work of the IT City earlier.
