They urged Prime Minister Modi for a special Parliamentary session to discuss Operation Sindoor. Leaders emphasized the need for dialogue on issues from the Pahalgam attack to diplomatic developments. Congress leader Deepender Hooda highlighted concerns about India's isolation of Pakistan and called for honoring armed forces' bravery during the session. Samajwadi Party's Ramgopal Yadav expressed worry over U.S. President Trump's announced ceasefire, suggesting it undermines India's position, necessitating a parliamentary discussion.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut stated that the opposition's letter to the Prime Minister embodies the collective voice of the nation, and a special session could maintain India's reputation. TMC MP Derek O’Brien noted the Aam Aadmi Party’s anticipated contribution to the letter by the next day. RJD MP Manoj Jha condemned Trump’s frequent statements as damaging to India's sentiments, stressing the importance of accountability in a joint parliamentary session. Overall, the alliance seeks to address national concerns through a united front in Parliament.
