Dibrugarh (Assam), 3 June (HS): Flood water in Budhidihing river in Duliajan of Upper Assam has posed a serious threat to many villages. Especially in Bamun village, Nalni Pathar and Tipling Nagar of Duliajan, flood water of Budhidihing river has submerged the crops and houses of many people.
Last night people have taken shelter on the embankment as a safe place. Here, people have also kept their pets on the embankment. About 70 families of Bamun village have taken shelter by setting up temporary camps on the embankment.
Last night students were seen studying in the camp, amid the dire situation created due to the flood, people have appealed to the administration for help.
