Nagon (Assam), 3 June (HS): The body of a five-year-old child who drowned in flood water was recovered on Tuesday. According to the information received, the child killed after falling into flood water in Kampur West Narayanpur of the district.

The child suddenly went missing while playing on Monday. The family continued to search for the child. This morning the body of the child was found floating in the water in the field. The deceased child has been identified as Vishal Rajbhar (5). Villagers have said that the child's mother killed soon after giving birth. The child was being raised by his elder aunt.

On receiving the information, Kachuwa police reached the spot and sent the child's body to Nagon Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the village regarding this incident.
