New York, June 3 (HS): Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, former Pakistan Foreign Minister and Chairman of the Pakistan People's Party, emphasized that resolving the Jammu-Kashmir dispute is essential for lasting peace between India and Pakistan. Leading a parliamentary delegation, he stated in a Chinese TV interview that the current ceasefire must pave the way for enduring peace.
Bilawal criticized India's suspension of the 1960 Indus Water Treaty as worsening tensions and called on the international community to promote dialogue. He reiterated Pakistan’s willingness to discuss Jammu-Kashmir, the Indus Waters Treaty, and terrorism, and the delegation has briefed UN Security Council member countries on the situation post-Operation Sindoor.
