28 June (HS): In Kaushambi, a mother and a teenage girl were killed when

lightning hit them. The tragedy happened as they were transplanting paddy.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed condolences and ordered help for

families while a probe is ongoing. Bhagneeti, 35, and Sunita, 15, were

tragically injured while transplanting paddy in Amura village.

According to

Circle Officer Shivank Singh, two ladies were killed instantaneously by a

lightning strike on Saturday afternoon. Their remains have been transferred for

post-mortem exams, as officials continue to investigate the horrific tragedy.

The Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the departed families,

ordering the quick distribution of relief monies and assuring the finest

medical care. The state government's quick reaction attempts to meet the needs

of victims' families in the middle of a natural disaster.
