Guwahati, 28 June (HS): The Assam government has announced a special assistance scheme for students preparing for the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination. Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the state government will provide ₹300 per month for six months for tuition and nutritional needs of the students before the examination.
The Chief Minister said, The Assam government stands with our students. This decision has been taken to encourage the students preparing for the HSLC examination so that they can prepare better without any financial hindrance.
He hoped that this initiative would be especially beneficial for those students who come from economically weaker families. This scheme is being considered a positive step towards giving additional support to the students in their studies and improving nutrition. ---------------
