Guwahati, 28 June (HS): The Bashisht police team of Guwahati has arrested an accused with a pistol and live cartridges.

Police said on Saturday that based on intelligence input, the EGPD team of Bashisht police station raided the house of Dilip Deka (46), a resident of Mira Residency in Lalmati. During the raid, a 7.65 mm pistol (factory made) with magazine and 11 live cartridges were recovered from the spot. Dilip Deka has been arrested in this case. An FIR has been registered in this regard and the police is engaged in legal action.
