Prayagraj,
26 June (HS): On the birth anniversary of Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, the
composer of the Vande Mataram song, the BJP organized a mass singing of
Vande Mataram at the Circuit House on Thursday. On this occasion,
Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, while addressing the workers, said that
Vande Mataram is not just a poem but the great mantra for the whole
of India, which freed us from the slavery of the British and increased the
value of the Indian tricolor.
The
Deputy CM said that the work that cannot be done with the edge of a sword can
be done with the tip of a pen and when Bankim Chandra Chatterjee used the same
pen, Vande Mataram was composed. Singing this great mantra, the brave
revolutionaries smiled and kissed the noose of the gallows. Vande Mataram was
on everyone's lips during the freedom struggle. The same Vande Mataram which
was tried to be erased during the British rule, the same Vande Mataram was used
to make the British run for their lives and drive them out of India.
Keshav
Prasad Maurya said that this event on the birth anniversary of Bankim Chandra
Chatterjee, the author of such a timeless creation, is a matter of pride for
all of us. Every year on 26 June, on his birth anniversary, Vande Mataram is
sung collectively. BJP's program begins with Vande Mataram and ends with Jana
Gana Mana.
BJP
Prayagraj Metropolitan President Sanjay Gupta said that Prayagraj is the only
district where every year a collective Vande Mataram song is sung on the birth
anniversary of Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay. Vande Mataram is our consciousness
and our strength. Before this, the Deputy CM paid homage by garlanding the
portraits of Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay and Bharat Mata.
