Kolkata, 26 June (H.S.) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested one Arun Dey in connection with the murder of case of Abhijit Sarkar who was allegedly murdered just after 2021 Bnegal assembly elections were declared.

The CBI alleged that Dey and others attacked Sarkar's home, causing property damage, looting jewelry, and assaulting him, leading to his death. A chargesheet has already been filed against 20 individuals involved in the incident. While Dey is now in custody, three other suspects remain at large. The CBI had announced a bounty of ₹50,000 on the accused.
