New Delhi, June 25 (H.S.): On the 50th anniversary of the Emergency, 'Hindusthan Samachar,' a multilingual news agency, is organizing a program at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in the National Capital, Delhi, tomorrow (Thursday), with participation from RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. The event, marked as Samvidhan Hatya Divas, will reflect on the lessons from the dark period of the Emergency.

Notable figures such as Padma Bhushan Ram Bahadur Rai, President of the Indira Gandhi National Art Centre (IGNCA) and Group Editor of Hindusthan Samachar, and K.N. Govindacharya, founding President of the National Self-Respect Movement will share their insights and experiences. An exhibition and a short film about the Emergency will also be showcased, aimed at engaging the youth with the historical political and social realities of that era.

Special issues of Hindusthan Samachar's biweekly magazine Yugavarta and monthly magazine Navotthan, concentrating on the Emergency, will be launched.

Rajesh Tiwari, Chief Coordinator of Hindusthan Samachar, noted that the program will highlight the Constitution's significance by Ambedkar, discuss its sidelining during the Emergency, and feature participation from scholars, students, and intellectuals.

Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi, Member Secretary of IGNCA, will welcome the attendees, while Akash Patil, Director of Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, will express gratitude. Scholars, researchers, and students from various institutions are expected to participate.
