Jammu, 24 June (H.S.): Sham Lal Sharma, J&K BJP vice-president and MLA, along with Mohan Lal Bhagat, MLA, listened to the public grievances during a public darbar at party Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
More than 20 deputations from diverse areas including Doda, Jogwan (Chhamb), Raipur Jhathe, Kot Mehra Khar, Paloura, Sarual Chak, Sarwal, Karan Nagar, Upper Thather Bantalab, Ambphalla, Patoli Brahmana, Dhok Paloura, Akhnoor, and surrounding regions visited the BJP headquarters to put forward their grievances.
The deputations raised a range of issues including the need for repair and construction of lanes and drains, scarcity of drinking water, electric poles and wires, installation of street lights, resolution of traffic issue in Paloura, revenue disputes, inflated electricity bills, leakage in water supply lines, poor quality road premix at Sarwal Chowk, and the need for issuance of new ration cards.
Speaking on the occasion, Sham Lal Sharma reiterated BJP’s commitment to being accessible to the common man and acting as a bridge between the administration and the people. He said, “BJP is a people-centric party, and we are continuously striving to bring governance to the doorstep of every citizen. Every grievance that has been raised here today will be taken up with the concerned departments for speedy redressal.”
Mohan Lal Bhagat, while addressing the gathering, emphasized the importance of such public outreach events. He stated, “These darbars help us understand the real issues on the ground. We assure every deputation that their problems will not go unheard. We are committed to raising these matters at the appropriate forums and following them up till resolution.”
The proceedings of the grievance redressal camp were conducted by BJP Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Incharge, Er Dil Bahadur Singh Jamwal.
