Agartala, 24 June (HS): Due to landslide on Lumding-Badarpur hill line in Assam, officials of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) have canceled many trains. In view of this, the state government has held a high-level meeting on Tuesday to review the stock of fuel and other essential materials supply in Tripura.
A top state government official said on Tuesday that officials of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) have canceled passenger and goods trains on the landslide-affected railway line in Assam from yesterday i.e. Monday. In view of this, the high-level review meeting has been organized today to assess the current situation and ensure supply of essential materials and availability of fuel.
He said that the concerned divisional officer of the Tripura government has already spoken to the regional manager of NFR present in Badarpur, Assam. The Regional Manager assured that the engineers, officers and staff of NFR carried out wartime activities to restore the railway line damaged by the landslide. --------------
