Chennai, 24 June (H.S.): The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) Pravartak Technologies Foundation has embarked on an ambitious project to train 30,000 teachers across the nation in career counselling. This initiative aims to equip educators with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively guide students in making informed career choices. By doing so, the foundation seeks to bridge the gap in career guidance that many students face in schools.
The training program, designed to be comprehensive and interactive, will cover various aspects of career counselling, including understanding student interests, identifying aptitudes, and exploring career options. It will also focus on developing teachers' communication and mentoring skills to better support students. Upon completion of the training, teachers are expected to be proficient in providing career guidance, thereby empowering students to make well-informed decisions about their future.
This initiative by IIT-M Pravartak Technologies Foundation is part of its broader efforts to improve education and employability skills among students nationwide. By enhancing the capabilities of teachers in career counselling, the foundation aims to have a positive impact on the educational outcomes and career trajectories of thousands of students across the country.
The project underscores the importance of quality education and the role that well-trained educators play in shaping the futures of their students.
