Delhi, 23 June (H.S.): Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) hosted a delegation from CODELCO, Chile's state-owned copper mining company, in New Delhi. This delegation, comprising experts in various fields, will visit HCL units nationwide over three weeks to assess mining and operational practices and explore knowledge-sharing opportunities.

The CODELCO delegation of mining experts includes:

1. Angelo Giovanni Giuseppe Aguilar Catalano – Geology & Exploration.

2. Jose Ramom Abatte Perez – Innovation & Technology.

3. Carlos Abelardo Vilches Donoso – Tailing Management.

4. Jorge Luis Espindola Landa – Geotechnical Engineering.

5. Sergio Jonathan Pichott Heriquez – Geometallurgy.

This visit follows a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on April 1, 2025, between HCL and CODELCO, facilitated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Gabriel Boric Font. The MoU emphasizes sharing best practices in exploration, mining, mineral beneficiation, and employee training to enhance skill development and capacity building.
