Mirzapur,

21 June (HS): Energy and Urban Development Minister, Arvind Kumar

Sharma on Saturday bowed down in the darbaar of Maa Vindhyavasini. The

minister, who arrived via the old VIP road, took blessings by worshipping the

feet of the mother in the sanctum sanctorum as per the rituals. After the

worship, the minister reached the dak bungalow at Ashtabhuja, where he met

party workers and departmental officials. He told the journalists that the

infinite blessings of Maa Vindhyavasini have been on his family since

childhood. I have been coming to visit Maa with my father since childhood;

today I am happy to see the development of the Dham.

He

shared his suggestions in a meeting with the Nagar Palika Adhyaksh regarding

the development of Vindhya Dham. The minister said that some of the suggestions

were his and some were from the local Adhyaksh, according to which work will be

done in the coming time.

On

being asked about the electricity system, Minister A.K. Sharma said that we

made many efforts, but the consumers are neither satisfied with the supply nor

with the billing system. The purpose of privatization is to provide better

services to the public. When privatization took place in sectors like roads and

airports, the improvement was clearly visible. In such a situation,

privatization is necessary for improvement in the power sector as well. He also

clarified that the government is seriously considering this and whatever

decision will be taken under the leadership of the Chief Minister will be

implemented in the interest of the public. The minister claimed that the public

is with us in our decision of privatization.
