Chandigarh, June 21 (H.S.): On the occasion of the 11th International Yoga Day, the Border Security Force (BSF) held a yoga event at the joint check post in Attari, attended by BSF personnel, border village residents, school children, renowned athletes, and Padma award winners. The program took place at a retreat ceremony location, with an evident disparity as the Indian side celebrated while silence marked the Pakistani side. Inspector General of BSF Punjab Frontier, Atul Phuljhele, served as the chief guest, emphasizing yoga as a shared human heritage that fosters peace, health, and unity. Participants of all ages engaged in Surya Namaskar and various major yoga postures, including Pranayama, Tadasana, Vrikshasana, and Bhujangasana, pledging to incorporate yoga into their daily lives.

Additionally, a grand yoga camp was organized at Ashwani Stadium in Jalandhar, led by BSF's Deputy Inspector General Seturam, with enthusiastic participation from officers, personnel, and their families. Yoga instructors guided participants through established yoga protocols while highlighting health benefits. The event showcased BSF's organizational strength and commitment to promoting health awareness, inspiring all to adopt yoga as part of their lifestyle.
