London, June 2 (HS): Members of the Indian parliamentary all-party delegation, led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, highlighted the issues posed by Pakistan during a meeting in London with Indian expatriates. BJP MP Ghulam Ali Khatana criticized Pakistan for simultaneously seeking aid while promoting terrorism, emphasizing India's capability to combat terrorism independently without mediation. He urged the diaspora to act as ambassadors and stressed the need for both diplomatic and social media campaigns against Pakistan’s actions. Following the abrogation of Article 370, he claimed Pakistan's disturbed reaction resulted in orchestrations like the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which prompted India’s Operation Sindoor.
Former Union Minister MJ Akbar quoted Mahatma Gandhi on responding decisively to terrorism, aligning India's current stance with Gandhi’s teachings of resilience. BJP MP Daggubati Purandeswari portrayed India as a responsible nation advocating peace, recounting a harrowing incident from Pahalgam where a woman confronted a terrorist. BJP MP Samik Bhattacharya reminded that Pakistan was formed due to India’s commitment to peace, while Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi condemned Pakistan's historical support for terrorism, citing Osama bin Laden’s presence there.
In Liberia, BJP leader S.S. Ahluwalia accused Pakistan of misusing Islam to promote terrorism and stated the UAE's acknowledgment of this misuse.
