Srinagar, 2 June (H.S.): Senior Congress leader and former Sadr-e-Riyasat of Jammu & Kashmir, Dr Karan Singh, on Saturday urged devotees to visit Mata Kheer Bhawani temple in large numbers, emphasising faith and unity.
Speaking at the temple in Ganderbal, Dr Singh, who has been visiting the shrine for over 80 years, said, “This place is a great blessing of the Goddess. I appeal to everyone to come here as they did in the past. We must not be afraid and must show the world that we are strong in our faith.”
Dr Singh also highlighted the importance of security arrangements at the temple, saying that the government and Dharmarth Trust have ensured all necessary measures. “I have faith in the arrangements. People must come here and seek blessings,” he said, adding that it is time for Kashmiris to rebuild their glory through collective efforts.
Dr Singh stressed that the people of Kashmir have suffered the most during the conflict and urged all to rise above fear and support the region’s revival by participating in religious and cultural events.
