Bhubaneswar, 2 June (H.S.) : Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended his heartfelt congratulations to Indian chess prodigy D. Gukesh following his maiden classical chess victory over World No. 1 Magnus Carlsen.

Taking to social media, the Chief Minister hailed the achievement as a significant milestone not only for Gukesh personally but for the entire nation. “This win is not just a personal milestone for Gukesh but a proud moment for the entire nation. He has shown the world what quiet confidence and fierce focus can accomplish,” Majhi wrote.

The Chief Minister also wished the young Grandmaster continued success in his chess career, stating that the future of Indian chess shines brighter with every move Gukesh makes.
